The Port Hotel and Marina

We stayed in A101, which just so happened to be the room Elvis stayed in during his movie production. It was a quaint room. With an absolutely beautiful view. We did notice mold growing above the air unit, from trapped moisture between the window and unit. So it was abundantly cover during our stay, but as we weren't in the room very much, didn't see the point in pitching a fit about it. The service was great, the parking was a bit small, but they are in the process of renovations of the lot and the lots next to the hotel. The negative reviews I've seen have been about the modernization of the hotel, and I personally, would leave it be. Not enough "old" left in the world. We loved it.

Hotel is outdated, clean but see they are working on a new development. Location was very nice, parking and unloading was a hassle, due to construction. Check-in was fine, but the service again in the Tiki was awful. I do understand slow service from being understaffed, but sitting for minimum 10 minutes without a nod or acknowledging our presence, they saw us, just no acknowledgment, we left. This is the second and last visit here.

Clean. Nice view. Check in and out very easy. Has a great bar/restaurant “attached” that was friendly and fun! The food was great. Cara, the bartender was so great! She enhanced our time, along with some new friends, an amazingly fun night!

My second visit to Crystal River. First to the Port Hotel. Spent 4 nights. Ground floor. Relaxing patio.A great, central spot right on the water. Sunsets from most every room. Kayak rentals, fun restaurant, live music, friendly staff.It’s an old building. Construction is going on next door where the new Port Hotel will be.Love Crystal River. Great vibe. Swimming with manatee is an amazing experience. Highly recommend.

I picked this hotel based on its GREAT location and view from the room, however. This hotel shows its age. The upkeep is not great, you can hear the pipes rattle every 5 minutes, all night, the beds feel like they are from the 50's, the 27" LCD TV had issues like screen ghosting and connection issues, I had to change the battery in the smoke detector myself As It was chirping when we got there, and the stairs were VERY rickety and had unfinished wood strapped to the original metal handrails . I will say the staff was friendly, and the view from the room was the best! I realized it is an old hotel and was hoping it would have a vintage feeling to it but, it just had a rundown feel to the whole place. They are building a new hotel next door so maybe when that is finished, we will retur
