Crystal River KOA Journey

We loved this KOA! Staff was so friendly and welcoming. The grounds were clean and well kept. The hook up infrastructure is the best I’ve ever seen before… two sewer connections per site, hose splitter on each water supply for multiple lines, lighted numbered pedestals. The hosted breakfast each morning was a great time to socialize with other guests. The grounds are located so close to central Crystal River… we could ride our bikes to all the fun spots the city has to offer. My kids were especially fond of the heated salt water pool. The daily trash pick up service… this place is top tier.

AC really nice new KOA Journey Park. Nice warm pool. Spacious sites. Clean, quiet and secure. Private showers and bathrooms.

We stayed here for the Thanksgiving weekend. We had site #802. The sites are on the small side and unfortunately there was a drought so we could not have a fire. Bathrooms and laundry room were clean. The staff was super nice. We went out and explored the surrounding areas. Overall a nice place.

This is a small KOA. The sites are small with little room between the sites (expected for a Journey though). My only real complaint is the direction we were directed to go to leave the campground. The one-way arrows on the road makes it difficult for a bigger rig. We have a 38' travel trailer and instead of pulling directly out of our pull thru site and making two 90-degree turns and then a 180-degree turn to get out, he backed out of our site and only had to make two 90-degree turns. It would have been very difficult to make that 180-degree turn with our rig especially with a sign on each side of the exit and would probably have gotten hit. We didn't use the rest rooms or laundry.

Wonderful experience for our first KOA trip! Perfectly located in Crystal Rver close to shopping, restaurants and Rivers! But between the staff and the clean private restroom/showers, we would have loved it even if it was a drive! Exceptional amenities to include a heated pool, K9Kamp (puppy park), laundry, & playground. They also offered sites with patios as well as private fenced K9 areas complete with sunshades! And my husband’s fav, free continental breakfast! Not a bad site at the campground and exceptionally clean! Highly recommend!!
