The Peak Motel

It's rare that I would have an opportunity to get out to Randle or Packwood, but now that I've stayed at The Peak, my husband and I are making plans to head out that way again soon. In addition to the STUNNING scenery and peace-n-quiet we've come to expect in the rural, forested mountains of the PNW, The Peak is a perfect stay for families or getaway for solos and couples. The Peak was perfect from the moment I arrived; it's a cute enclave of pristine, modernized cabins with the easiest contactless check-in I've ever had. Once inside, the spaces have EVERYTHING. Between the room and the lounge, the immediate sensation is one of "Luxe." The Peak Motel was perfect for the one night i spent in Packwood. My room was cozy, warm, and inviting (The coffee station was also very nice). As a solo female traveler i was nervous about staying alone in a motel in the mountains, but i felt very safe and cozy the whole time!

Rooms are cute and thoughtfully decorated. Management is VERY difficult to get a hold of; no direct phone number (I called it twice, had to leave messages and received NO call backs) — the only communication is via email which takes up to a full day to get response. I purposefully chose a unit with a FULL kitchen so my daughter & I could cook our meals. We spent a lot of money on groceries which, to our surprise, we could not cook in the unit because the vintage oven was inoperable. It started smoked when we tried to bake something. We then tried cooking with the stovetop burners which would NOT get hot — we couldn’t even cook an egg, we certainly could not boil water for our pasta (we also had raw meat and other items which we couldn’t cook!!). This place is fantastic, we had a great time and the rooms were awesome, love the renovations that were done. The only bad thing I can say is the pillows were flat and being a side sleeper -not good and I didn’t realize how far we were from Mt Rainier. Not a single issue other than described with the motel, would love to stay here again. Great job Sav.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here, and it was wonderful. The place was comfortable, conveniently close to restaurants, and gave us easy access to all the beauty Packwood has to offer. We enjoyed hiking, exploring the area, and even saw lots of elk right nearby. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, and we’d definitely stay here again!
