I became fully unsheltered homeless on Sept 1st, 2024 and I was so afraid because on August 5th, 2024 I walked from my apartment on Arlington Street up to the store on MLK to get some chips and a pack of cigarettes like I did every night for the last 23 months living in that apartment. I came out of the store on MLK and turn right up towards downtown. When I got to Andrew Street I got a huge surprise. I witnessed a tall dark skin man with dreads hitting on this local lady that I see all the time on MLK named Elisha. Flabbergasted eye screens across the street to her "LeeLee, are u ok"? And ran over to me and I walked her to safety. Each street that we walked to the guy had got on his bicycle was getting closer and closer to us until he turned down Whittington Street.
