La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Greensboro Arpt High Point

We stayed here for a few nights when we were visiting family. I purposely booked 2 nights here knowing there was a pool for the kids. They were extremely excited. Come to find out when we were checking in, the pool wasn’t heated and the room and pool was extremely cold. We also had cold water when we showered. The vents to our room were filthy. The beds were comfy, but overall, we were disappointed considering what we paid.

I stayed at La Quinta by Wyndham Greensboro Airport High Point from October 10–12, 2025. This was my second time staying here, and it will be my last. The first night was fine, but the next morning I found a roach near the microwave on the floor. I was disgusted, but instead of making a scene, I went to the front desk and calmly explained the situation. I simply asked that housekeeping thoroughly clean the room. The front desk attendant said she would have someone take care of it. When I returned hours later, it was clear the room was barely touched. One bed was made and the trash was emptied, but the roach was still in the exact same spot on the floor. It didn’t look like the room was cleaned at all. The hotel was actually nit terrible- until we left. Upon arriving home, I realized I forgot a bag of laundry so I called the hotel. They informed me that they checked the room and that there wasn’t a bag left in the room. They would call me if they found the bag. I called them back three more times over the next few days and they said I’m sorry we haven’t found it yet. We will call you if we find your bag. I described the bag to them and thanked them for looking. Fast forward to looking through my credit card bill, and I noticed that I was double charged for the room. I called and asked and they said that it was a holding fee because the card I used was a debit card, but that the charge would go away after a few days. The charge did not go away. Positive: I liked that the room was large and modern Negative: Please ensure that breakfast staff have the items cooked within the time breakfast is served. The weekday attendant was great!

We requested to have our room cleaned daily with clean towels provided. They agreed verbally by front desk and by text. Come back to the room and nothing was cleaned. Bed not done, no towels, no toilet paper, no Kleenex box. The room itself is very basic, floor dirty brown , nicked walls, dusty, terrible flat pillows and we are paying over 200$US a night! Terrible. Would not recommend and won’t stay at this chain ever again
