The Ocean Key Resort

I know we went there in the offseason. It was forty degrees outside, the heated indoor pool was a little bit chilly, and the air is very drafty because of the design of the poor area being opened into the lobby. However, the hot tub was out of order for our whole stay. The ice machine on our floor was broken, nahda ahda huge deal.We just had to go upstairs to the next floor. Out of the 2 bathrooms in our room. Only one of them you could use the shower in the other one.You could only use the bath.Tub. the shower handle was about to fall off of the only functioning shower. There were also hairss on the floor of the shower before we even used it. They advertise having a game room.However, it was just a pool table. I had an amazing stay at this resort! From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly, professional, and eager to make sure I had everything I needed. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and extremely comfortable — especially the bed! The amenities were excellent, and I really appreciated how well-maintained everything was. The restaurant had really good food options! The location was also perfect — close to everything but still peaceful and relaxing with the Ocean. The weather was amazing! Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a truly enjoyable stay. The room was aged and dark as well as dirty. It was dust free, but someone forgot to clean the floor.||Other rooms might have had more light, but the only window in this shot-gun style unit was in the bedroom. We went on a vacation certificate, so not much choice. You get what you pay for.||||The desk staff wasn’t friendly, but the cleaning staff were pleasant. The activities personnel were pleasant and the room was well stocked and clean.

Positive: Location was excellent with regards to beach and restaurant access. Bed didn't hurt my back. Negative: The parking area is very tight, a large SUV or truck will have trouble. The halls are dirty. The room had the sofa bed pulled out which meant I had to put it away. Weird kitchen drawer layout.

A resort that is a bit tired. The pool and hot tub have seen better days. You need to get your own clean towels at the housekeeping room between 9am-4pm. The"amenities" room leave slot to be desired, basically a pay to play pool table and a TV with dvds. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 balcony suite. We had to call multiple times to maintenance. Toilet didn't flush, balcony door on bedroom was in such despair that it wouldn't open or close properly, so it went unused. The refrigerator was in front of the thermostat so no matter what we set it at, the heat from the refrigerator kept turning on the air. The location couldn't be beat, 5 minute walk to the beach, restaurants, stores. It is all the way down at the south end of the beach.
