The Morgan San Simeon - Cambria by Hearst Castle

The rooms were nice but not worth the price. Beds too high. Linens frayed. Bedspreads very nice though. Coffee maker in the only had coffee to make one cup. There were 2 of us and we had queen beds so anyone would think there might be 2 or even 4 people . Housekeeping did give us coffee quickly and we're very nice. Front desk staff are all business . A greeting and a smile are needed. There was a huge seagull dropping on our window. So we kept that side draped. Very convenient location. We had a lovely breakfast there our last day.

This hotel has great ratings, which I don't understand. It is mediocre at best. Upon entering the "Ocean view" room, you couldn't actually see the ocean because the windows were filthy! There were gouges in the walls that should have been filled and touched up and the bathroom door was splintering.||The beds were clean and comfortable enough but the air/heating system didn't work. We had used the in room fireplace ealier, which was fine, but there was no way to cool the room for sleep. We all woke up during the middle of the night sweating.||Breakfast was very minimal. There was a waffle machine and toaster, yogurt, cold cereal, hard boiledeggs, bananas and mini muffins, barely enough to get you going. Positive: pretty close to the ocean, Hearts castle and cambria, however, it?s def not a 3.5 start hotel, Maybe 2.5 star max. It?s clean. Negative: Weather was cold but pool was not even clean to use. Room had an old wall heater ( like very old ) They don?t offer coffee in Lobby area other than breakfast time. Breakfast is pretty basic, they don?t offer hot breakfast other than waffle maker machine

The facility is so bad. The bed is too soft and felt like a pile of spring. Making it difficulty to sleep on. The bedding has stain on it. And the clock and fridge keeps making noises and wakes me up. Very upset that I made the decision to sleep in this hotel. This doesn’t feel like a 3 star hotel at all. At most 2 star. Everything is of the least quality.

Quiet town: Excellent hotel compared to the circumstances, understanding the complexity of renovating etc here, probably the best you’ll find in San Simeon. Contrary to popular discussion there was a cooler and heater in the room, i think it did freshen up the air in the room. You can also open the windows. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Bathroom a little worn down with the tub having some scratches. Continental breakfast with cold items such as cold hard boiled eggs, yoghurts, cereal and so on. They did have some warm options like a waffle maker, and toast. They had a microwave The hotel has a pool but i did not decide to visit it this time. There are few dining options nearby as it is a small town, the beach is within walking distance. Overall it is a nice and afford
