The Monarch San Antonio, Curio Collection by Hilton

Loved my stay at the Monarch, wonderful experience and service. Had the privilege at eating at all three dining options and they were fantastic. The coffee/pastry shop on the ground floor had the best almond croissant ive ever had. Very neat property and will be my go to when in SA

I am going to give this a review specifically regarding the bar on the first floor. Myself along with many others sitting at the bar experiencing bartenders not acknowledging guests. We sat there for almost 15 mins with not even a “I will be right with you”. Nothing. Once they finally served us they never came back. We literally had to wave employees down. Another guest just wanted to close her tab and she tried to flag a bartender down and she was just ignored. Also No personality or friendliness, very snobby and zero customer service. We will not return.

My complaints are specifically about the bar on the seventeenth floor. After a wonderful day in San Antonio, I and my traveling partners wanted a drink and went up to the bar, where we were met by a seriously unprofessional woman named Angela. She not only turned around the the virtual empty testy and said they were “full for reservations” but looked through an IPad of reservations for that evening that was virtually empty and said there was no availability for the rest of the day. Keep in mind, all we sought was a few drinks at the bar, not a full table. I ask Angela if the bar was really fully reserved at this time, with all but two patrons at it. She said yes while barely acknowledging me and only referring to my fellow traveling partner. One of the worst service experiences I’ve had a

Just look at the pictures. Amazing! New hotel smell. Amazing rooms, lobby, everything is spectacular. Definitely will go here again when I come back through San Antonio.

The service was outstanding. I truly loved the experience and the dedication that went into bringing this place to life.
