The Merry Inn Hiker Hostel

Can't rave about this place enough! Probably the best hostel stay I've ever had. Coach responds almost immediately to any questions and setting up an itinerary. The hostel itself has everything you need from bunk and private rooms, den with tv, fast wifi, laundry, fridge, shower, yoga mat and massage ball, foot baths, heading pad, even has a bunch of old AT DVDs and VHS if you can figure out how to play em. Location is top notch and is literally steps away from so many good restaurants. And Bunny is a gem. She provides shuttles and helps keep the hostel immaculate. Blessed to have met her. Pro tip: the place has a bathtub and Epsom salts for post hike recovery.

An easy 5 stars for me. Great communication via txt message the day before arrival. Greeted warmly by Phoenix who was patient, informative, welcoming & friendly. I had a private room which was perfect. Great facilities to use for free :) Very relaxing and excellent vibes. My only problem was getting my bicycle up and down those stairs...but I managed. Highly recommend and thank you for what you do / provide :)

This place is better than most hotels I have stayed at, really, if this place has singles instead of 5 bed bunks I would expect to hundreds instead of the 40 it costs with tax. There is a stand alone bath! I am guessing this place is very good when the bubble is coming through but at slower times it's a dream. Everything any hiker could want and Bunny, who is an trail legend btw, is one of the kindest most helpful people I have ever met. The town is pretty cool too. I wish I could come back just go to the Lincoln theater and eat at every restaurant. I almost went right by this whole town but I am glad I didn't. If I can think of the smallest reason to come back I am so there.

Loved my stay here during my thru-hike last year. The staff is very attentive, and they also provide slackpacking opportunities so that you can extend your stay in this lovely town. The burger restaurant down the street (Wooden Pickle) was amazingly delicious. P-Rex

The bunks have a privacy curtain which is great. Love the openness of the place. Chill vibe. Plus you get a discount at the outfitters downstairs. Also they have an amazing soaking tub in a private bathroom with all kinds of bath salts! Loved that thing.
