The Holston River Lodge 🎣 Paradise on the River 🛶

I cannot wait to stay at the lodge again! I came with a group of girlfriends - we sat on the beautiful back porch each morning and had coffee. The kitchen is stocked with all cooking utensils you could need. The beds are comfortable and the house is beautifully decorated! The cabin is located super close to the town of Abingdon and we went to the Martha Washington Inn one day for some amazing spa treatments. It snowed on the last day we were there and it was the perfect way to end our `trip. The hosts are communicative and helpful! Would recommend 10/10!

We had such a great stay at Holston River Lodge! The location was perfectly nestled close to downtown but still peaceful and surrounded by nature. Our kids loved playing in the stream during the day, and we made wonderful memories sitting by the campfire at night. The host was so kind and courteous, making sure we had everything we needed. Such a relaxing, family-friendly place to unwind. Highly recommend!

I stayed at the Holston River Lodge in mid April for a guys long weekend. The place is incredible! I was very impressed by the details of the Home. I refer to it as a home since it felt like one. There are porches/ decks on all three levels looking over a beautiful small river where you can do some light kayaking. Whoever built this lodge really focused on detail. It was extremely clean, with great detailed work. Beds, couches and outdoor furniture were very comfortable. The hot tub was great as well. I biked to the town which was very quaint with some really good eating establishments. I highly recommended this mini getaway with family or friends.

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at the Houston River Lodge twice now, and both visits were absolutely wonderful. The first was during a snowstorm in the winter, and it was magical—watching the snow fall over the river and surrounding trees made the whole experience feel like a cozy retreat. On my second visit in the summer, I got to enjoy the completely different vibe of the property: the river flowing beautifully, evenings spent around the fire pit, and ending the night relaxing in the hot tub under the stars. The house itself is spacious, comfortable, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The property is peaceful and scenic, making it the perfect spot to unwind in any season. This lodge is absolutely beautiful — surrounded by nature and set right by a lovely river that adds such a peaceful atmosphere. The outdoor space is just perfect for relaxing, whether you’re sipping coffee in the morning or enjoying an evening by the campfire. Inside, everything is well-kept and thoughtfully arranged, making it feel both cozy and upscale. The host was wonderful — courteous, helpful, and genuinely cared about making sure our stay was comfortable. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
