The Lodge at Torrey Pines

The Lodge is such a special place. It is a stunning craftsman built hotel surrounded by hiking trails and golf courses. It is a true sanctuary. ||The staff is warm and welcoming from when you pull up to the front of the hotel with valet and bellmen, to check-in, and throughout the property and restaurants. ||We LOVE staying in the hotel as all of the rooms have been cozy and comfortable. It is always a treat when we stay in a Palisades Room with fireplace and balcony.||Mara, the Front Desk Manager, is exceptional. She understands Hospitality and how to make a guest feel appreciated. Mara has gone above and beyond to make us, guests, feel appreciated and comfortable during our stays. They firstly gave us the wrong type of room, then I argued with them and they found out they did give us the wrong room and apologize to us. They said they will give us 50 percent discount for the mistake but we didn’t receive this discount back.

A client hosted their executive meeting at the Lodge at Torrey Pines this week in the Alfred Mitchell room. The experience the Conference Services, Banquets, AV and AR Valentien team delivered for group was genuinely one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in my career. They didn't miss one single detail. Beth Roberson answered every question and was deeply supportive during the contracting phase and beyond. It never felt like a transaction between a venue and a corporate group, but instead like a gracious host welcoming us to their space. Taylor Owens' professionalism and poise truly stood out, and her proactive planning, attention to every detail and consistent communication set the standard for what every Conference Services Manager should strive to deliver. Just had some food on the patio at their restaurant. Really good. Nice quick service. The venue is incredible and views of the ocean. Great drinks. You do not have to stay there or be a member to eat. We were treated very well.

Kasha at the bar at Torrey Pines Resort was absolutely exceptional. My husband and I were immediately drawn to her humble demeanor and remarkable expertise. Her knowledge of cocktails was truly impressive, she handled every request with precision while managing a busy bar for a large conference crowd, alongside just one bar back. Despite the volume and pace, Kasha made each guest feel genuinely special, offering a level of personalized service that elevated the entire experience. She turned what could have been an ordinary evening into a memorable highlight of our stay. A true professional and a standout ambassador of hospitality for the resort.
