La Jolla Riviera Inn

It’s not a five star super hotel, but rather unique affordable place to stay in La Jolla, 2-3 times cheaper than anything around including short term rentals and hotels. Before booking, please consider what is more important: 2-3 min walk to the beach and restaurant and cafe or updated interior. Everything is in walking distance from the hotel, so car is not must have there. Moreover, a hotel outdoor area looks like a boutique place with all these flowers and succulents carefully maintained by a flower lady. Without that it would be just a cheap place to stay, but not return. Thank you so much for your hospitality, ladies!

Best spot for families, we did not want to leave!! Full kitchen with everything you need, makes it easier with kids to cook meals and have snacks. The place extremely clean and very spacious. The palm trees across the street were so nice to wake up to each day, and light up at night. Cannot wait to return. The manager Debbie is the best also!! 😊

The photos do not do justice to this property. Its so close to the beach and the restaurants. The rooms are super spacious and the area is upscale and safe. Highly recommended.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed, i booked hotel at 9pm 2/24/2026, but when i arrived hotel at 11:45, lobby was closed, i called hotel number, but no one responded, then i called the number they leave on window, there is a lady from another hotel picked up my call and tell me lobby closed at 5 pm everyday, that is ridiculous that hotel lobby closed at 5 pm and i can still book that hotel at 9pm. Then this is lady tell me to call Expedia customer service to solve this, they can’t do anything to help me and I couldn’t get my room key until the following morning when they reopen, and they even said due to hotel policy that they can’t give me refund. After 4 days, Expedia give me refund, need to say thank you Expedia, but for this hotel service is really really bad, don’t book this h

The hotel it self was nice, I really liked it it was very homelike. It gives very old vibes, but it was clean, instructions were clear, fridge worked. Even though I stayed here for only one night. Lobby was a bit hard to find I think I would put more signs (cause I arrived at night and could see anything)
