The Lodge at Douglas Lake

The pictures were definitely deceiving. When we arrived at the lodge, it wasn't as clean like the pictures. The lodge was super dim inside with old dirty carpets in all the rooms. The kitchen floor was dirty, sticky and had some cracks on the tiles. A majority of the kitchen cookware were crusty, old and dirty. The kitchen sink was super small so made it hard to was dishes. It could use a garbage disposal! The bath towels were also old and dirty as well. Good thing we brought our own. For the price we paid, we were expecting something nicer and more updated. The walk to the lake was also a struggle especially if u have children. It's far and steep going to and coming back. The house is overrated and will not stay here again or recommend to friends unless more work is done to the pl

Perfect place for friends and family to connect! So much to do at "The Lodge" you don't even have to leave the sprawling property. Sit on one of the three huge decks and enjoy all the sights and sounds of Mother nature. Grill yummy food and gather in the huge dining room. Choose one of 8 bedrooms, and one of 20 + beds, sofa beds or futons to get a good night's sleep. Play pool or games, watch TV (your Prime or Netflix) or satellite TV. Good internet and fabulous showers! Love the lake! Haven't even left, can't wait to come back.

Great place for a family reunion! Lots of space and a big kitchen filled with everything you need. Beautiful lake and views.

Awesome place to visit. Huge lodge. Lots of sleeping areas. Walking in the paths and hanging around the lake are my favorite places. Of course shopping, eating and being with family are good too!

This was the perfect location for our family reunion. The lodge is amazing...plenty of space, great rooms, beautiful quilts, a wonderful kitchen, and a great dining room. The lake was gorgeous and warm!! We had 32 people including 10 adults, 9 teens, and 13 kids and babies. The owners were great and helpful. The lodge AC works really well! There's not enough good to say about the Lodge at Douglas Lake.
