The Lodge at Bretton Woods

This is a low key place, across the road from the main hotel. It costs much less, but you are still considered a resort guest. It is not crowded at all. The front door faces the woods. All rooms are entered from the outside. There is no indoor hallway. Our room has a refrigerator but no freezer. We used the natural freezer on our balcony and it worked out fine. We have a carpeted, covered balcony with a small table and chairs. It has a view of the mountains and the big hotel. Our room was excruciatingly hot. We called the front desk and someone came right away at night and fixed it. The main hotel is much more luxurious but we get resort guest rates for activities and we are paying less than half the price. We would stay here again.

I brought my wife and two children up skiing for there first time. We decided to stay a lodge to save a little bit of money and put it towards the children's ski school. I am happy we did. The staff was very friendly. The room is what I expected it to be. House keeping did a fantastic job keeping up with the heavy volume of ski families staying there. The beds were very comfortable and the kids enjoyed the pool. The view of Mt. Washington was spectacular. I highly recommend staying at the lodge especially to young families or anyone on a budget.

Staying at the Lodge now for 2 nights. We stayed here once before and like it as a budget option. However, this time is probably the last. Multiple issues: 1. There is no welcome mat outside before each door and there is no any mat inside. As you enter, you drag all the snow and gravel/sand they out on snow to prevent slipping into the room, making the entrance and bathroom right off the entrance one big wet sandy mess. See photos. There is no cleaning supplied in the room, so I had to call from desk. After being transferred for three different people, a manager John answered the phone. He was very nice to bring us a big yellow bucket and mop to clean up at around 10 PM. I was mopping my room at 10 PM. Something I didn’t expect to do. I really don’t know what they were thinkin

My stay at the Lodge was excellent. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, and our room very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. My only complaint, is that if you stay there on a Monday or Tuesday, the only place to eat after 4:00 is at the Omni Hotel, which is very pricey.$$$$$$$$. All other restaurants they advertised are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. In the next closest town, Twin Mountains, it was the same. So, if you stay on a Monday or Tuesday, be aware.

I have just returned from a weekend at Bretton Woods. We stayed at The Lodge and unfortunately our experience was quite disappointing. We have been coming to Bretton Woods for years as our daughter (8) participates in the New England Disabled Sports program. We typically rent a condo or stay at the main hotel, but this weekend it was just three of us and the vacation week price at the hotel was far too much so we opted to take a room at the Lodge. We arrived at 10:30 pm to find a handwritten sign on the door of the Lodge telling us that we needed to go to the main hotel across the street to check in.
