Otis!! This is all about Otis! He welcomed us with a pleasant smile, he was informative and accommodating. We were excited, as we were celebrating a special occasion. He definitely matched our energy and made our experience GRAND!! The room itself was aestically quaint, but could use some upgrades on some of the furniture selections. Our room did not have a microwave or refrigerator, so that was disappointing. We were advised that they are available upon request and no longer standard. Overall a great choice for the occasion, and we were very pleased with our stay. We enjoyed breakfast at Hull and Oak, which was awesome. For late evening, the hotel bar was quiet but the experience, and food were a great addition to our wonderful evening. The Chocolate Martini's in the bar were simply a

The Laura Hotel in Houston is an exquisitely classy property with an amazing staff. Guest rooms were well appointed and comfortable. In all my years of travel, they by far had the most relaxing and refreshing bathrooms of any property I have ever stayed at. The tilework is amazing, the stand in shower provided a luxurious feel and was very relaxing. ||Keisha, Sharika, Xavier and Otis at the Front Desk were incredibly hospitable, greeting me every time I walked through the lobby, checking in on my stay, and accommodating me with any requests I had through my stay. ||During my stay, I was visited my Monica and Dom (Bartender) who provided a personalized arrival gift which was incredibly nice and made for a pleasant evening! ||And of course…. Layla, my room attendant. A very sweet youn

Positive: Room size Negative: Valet and staff Valet was very hard to get into and was often full. Hotel staff incredibly rude. Also still have no idea what time they stop serving food, guess it depends on what you look like.

My husband and I stayed here for Valentine’s Day 2026 and we had such an amazing time! Friendly check-in at the front desk. Very fancy and clean! Our room was perfect! We loved the mirror doors opening around the tub. When you stay, you receive a $13 credit for the on-site restaurant, Hull & Oak. We enjoyed visiting the bar after our dinner out in Houston (this hotel is in an excellent location)! We had breakfast at Hull & Oak and used our credit. The food was great and the service was excellent! Josue, our server, took wonderful care of us. Only thing to BEWARE of is the valet parking fee - $75! Very expensive and unanticipated. However, Zaza at valet did take great care of us as well. Other than the expensive valet, it was a perfect stay! I’d love to visit again and go to the spa!

The stay was not bad, but it was not the greatest. When paying for a city view. I would expect most of the city but what we got was a large mural wall and then some of the city. It was pretty disappointing. Especially when paying over $200 for a night. When arriving I noticed there was no fridge. Which is very surprising. I called the front office they asked if we would like to be delivered one which was nice. But when it was delivered I guess they thought the best spot was to put it right in the middle of the hall and in front of the door, and when we asked if that’s where it would be placed. They had an attitude and had to answer as in we were dumb to ask that. Not sure why you would take the fridge out of the hotel in general. Everything seems to be a bit outdated, the couch had stains
