Wonderful time. Saw a bear on the bridge path about 100 feet from the motel. Apparently he lives under the bridge. Lots of deer to be seen while walking the path including the Durango-Silverton 'old' train. Views of the mountains from our room was nice. Room was very clean. Basic. Get what you are paying for. We would stay there again.

We stayed during the Christmas week and the AC didn’t work it kept shutting off and on and the room was stuffy, the beds were okay. The front desk was kind, she did take my card and charged a hold of $150 which I wasn’t aware of, til I checked my bank account. I think that needs to be voiced when doing the reservations or booking. The location was very nice lived our time there. If you go during Christmas make sure you stock up on food there will be absolutely No stores open. They take Christmas Day very seriously and that’s okay. Just note that on your trip. The rooms definitely didn’t look like the posts but it was enough for our trip if you wanna roof and a clean bed.

The room was not like the pictures online at all. Everything in the room including the doors and appliances were old and worn. We requested a room on the 1st floor which was not given. We have an elderly dog and had to climb stairs with her which she could barely get up and down. I also am pregnant and high risk so the stairs were difficult to get up and down every day. The windows and the walls are extremely thin so sleep isn't easy here. Our neighbors came home at 3:30AM and stayed up partying until after 7AM. Also the Air Conditioner did not work great at all. We ended up surviving by cracking the window but then heard all the traffic at night and homeless people yelling. The price was reasonable but the overall experience was not great. If I were you just save your money for a nicer ho

Positive: Price Negative: Run down, mattress cheap, everything is old and cobbled together, front desk at check in the worst, smell of pot all night coming under my door. This place needs a refresh of closed.
