We had a very enjoyable stay at The Highlands at Harbor Springs. The Hazel Deluxe two-queen room felt fresh and well maintained after its recent renovation, with a clean, thoughtful design and very comfortable beds. While the room isn’t large, it’s efficiently laid out and works well for a ski-focused stay. The skiing experience exceeded expectations. The trails are wide and were well covered with snow during our visit, allowing for confident and enjoyable runs. A highlight was the Camelot 6 chairlift—heated seats and weather shields made a noticeable difference in cold and windy conditions. Rooms are really good, people are nice, but the village itself is so small and offers nothing. There is nothing to do after you ski. I love the runs. The restaurant food sucks. Breakfast and dinner at main dining hall is horrible and overpriced. You pay $25 per person for garbage. We tried the christmas buffet and the food was horrible. If you are trying to decide between Boyne Mountain and The Highlands, go to the Mountain. It offers a lot more food choices, better food, better village, a lot of activities.

We then thought it was good to go for Thursday because the board that scans your ticket on Wednesday said "only day 2." We went to scan our ticket, and it said "expired." We then went to service, and they told us that it's "implied" that it's three consecutive days. We then called a support number for The Highlands, and they said, "Well, it's an 'it is what it is' policy" when it comes to issues like that. We have been coming to The Highlands for five years straight. We even told them on the phone that we don't expect to go on the

Rooms are great, and the bathroom shower is wonderful. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. There is a special item each day on the buffet. The cheese filled crepes and bread pudding were a real treat.
