My wife and I just finished a wonderful birthday “staycation” weekend at the Hay-Adams. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like well-known guests. Both the day and night concierges were tremendously helpful; if you ask, they will escort you to the roof for some great photos. This was only the second five-star hotel for us in DC, and we felt the staff at the Hay-Adams were much more welcoming and personable. We had drinks in the Off the Record, a little too busy for our liking. We really enjoyed our two breakfasts and one dinner at the Lafayette. The atmosphere, attention, and food were top-notch. We really want to do this again, maybe in the spring or fall.

This is an amazing hotel. We had a great experience here. We haven’t really stayed at a place that was quite like this before. It’s was very fancy and a great place to have a nice couples retreat. There were no kids here. The rooms were a little pricier but was worth every penny. The turn down service was a first and worth it. Love what they did for us. The bellhop was absolutely phenomenal. We forgot his name but he was a little bit older but super knowledgeable about everything. He always remembered our names and took us on a private tour to the 9th floor to see the White House at night with the most spectacular view. Worth almost every penny. Be sure to get a package deal cause it will cover a lot and help you not worry about things as much.

Very disappointing experience for us. I was eagerly looking forward to our 3-night stay at The Hay-Adams and first impressions were good; beautiful lobby, attentive staff etc....then we got to our room which was directly across from the elevator on the second floor. I am a light sleeper so I called down to the front desk to see if we could change to a room farther away. They told me to check back and they would look into it. We were supposed to be staying in a better room grade at almost $800 a night so I thought it would no be a problem--and finally they said they had a room on the 6th floor, unfortunately with only a queen size bed but we said we would take it. We got to the room which was an interior room directly across from a huge generator which had a constant loud buzz. It was

It was a delight to stay at the Hay-Adams while in Washington DC. Our room overlooked the Lafayette Park, The White House & Washington Monument. Unfortunately they were doing renovations on all the fountains ⛲️ thruout the Park. And the East Wing had been demolished with cranes and the new ballroom construction was on-going. But starting at this Hotel was well located and very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small comparatively. Service was great!

My experience at the Hay-Adams was truly unforgettable. I planned my proposal here in December, and everything went smoothly from start to finish.||We started the afternoon with high tea, which was excellent. The tea service was beautiful, the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was relaxed and elegant. The staff were welcoming and attentive without being overbearing, which made it feel special right away.||I worked with Chelsea Hartley ahead of time to plan the proposal, and she was incredible throughout the process. She was thoughtful, responsive, and made everything easy. Chelsea even came up with a clever excuse to get us up to the rooftop that did not give away that anything special was happening, which I really appreciated.||Once we were upstairs, she guided us to the spot she h
