The Harbor Grand Hotel

My friends and I visited for a girls’ weekend getaway, ready to relax with some spa time, fine dining, and plenty of rest. Although we experienced a small scheduling mix-up with the spa, the way the Harbour Grand Hotel handled the situation truly stood out—it’s one of the few hotels I would gladly return to. Their thoughtfulness and hospitality were exceptional. The food at The Terrace and Brentwood was fantastic, and the location was perfect for window shopping and enjoying the lake views. One of my favorite touches was the breakfast delivered to our room in a charming picnic basket—it added such a cozy, homemade feel to our stay. Even though we visited in the fall, we loved watching the leaves change, enjoying the peaceful scenery, and catching up beside the many warm fireplaces. Thank

Great place. Very short walking distance to Amtrak for getting to Chicago. It's also very boutique in a good way. I didn't know before arriving but it's Frank Lloyd Wright inspired and it's hard to argue with that. Soaking tub and fireplace in some rooms is also great, plus a very quant and cozy view. The breakfast basket is also a really good idea and it's great that it's included. They even had a little card prepared to remind guests about the confusing time change. Negatives are minimal. Wifi seemed a bit slow, TV is a little clunky to use, and for whatever reason there seemed to be a lot of dust that accumulated very quickly (at least in Room 200). Possibly related to the fireplace or just a dirty air filter, I don't know. One weird request, I would love to see "storm rates" that would

While the front desk crew and the food service crew was top notch, it is the small things that make your stay better that cost them a few stars. The food was average at best. The quiche and the muffins at breakfast was below average. I had a regular room. While it had a tub and a fireplace, not having a microwave to go with the fridge didn't help me with my needs. Also the lack of an alarm clock and sound machine is not what you expect from a resort hotel. While they had more channels than many hotel on their TVS, not having a sleep timer was disappointing. Right on the water with a pool and hot tub will always means a crowd in the season, it is the small things that matter the most in the slow times.

Our room was so cozy and the bed is so comfortable! I have never had such good customer service experience at a hotel before, Briana went above and beyond for me and my husband! Absolutely will be coming back!
