Buffalo Motel

I have stayed here three times and each time was the same. Clean, quite and inexpensive. Zero issues each time. In-room amenities include fridge, coffee maker, microwave, DirecTV and WIFI. There have been groups of workers staying there, never an issue. I love the old style motel where you can park in front of the door. C-stores about a mile, several good restaurants to choose from. Ritz, no. Nice place to stay, yes! Price + clean + amenities = five stars.

Rooms are very clean and cozy! Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable! Very cute and safe town. It's really like a home away from home. Even had a free box of chocolates waiting for me when I checked in! They didn't last long 😉 Thank you so much!! UPDATE: I locked myself out of my room on a Saturday morning at 6am and the staff were so nice and helpful getting me back in.

My husband and I were in town for the night to attend a concert at the Four Winds Casino, and didn't want to pay their room rate. We opted to pay a very low rate of $65 and stay at the Buffalo Motel. The motel's location is wonderful. It's about 5 minutes from the casino, just a couple of minutes from downtown New Buffalo, and about 5 minutes from Redamak's. 2p check-in means exactly that. We arrived in town at 1:30p, but were advised our room wouldn't be ready until 2p. However, we were allowed to check-in, given our key, but couldn't have our room until 2p. We were in #32, which is the last room at the far left side of the motel (as you're looking at it face on). The room had a queen bed, mini fridge, microwave, tv, and sink in the main room. There weren’t many reviews about this place nor did they have a website. So, we were skeptical to say the least! We drove in from Chicago, fingers crossed, and despite the look of the outside were happy with it. The lady at the front desk was nice and even let us check out late the next day. It’s a motel so don’t expect the Ritz but it’s very close to downtown New Buffalo and a great deal at $70. Other hotels in the area ridiculously inflate their prices over the holiday weekend and were triple the price! Everything including the linens were very clean but the bathroom is small and only has a standup shower and the lock on the front door is a simple push button. My wife and I stayed here during a rainy evening when staying on our boat at the Marina was not a good option. Our room was spotless, comfortable, competitively priced, and very close to local restaurants. We will definitely stay here again if the need arises or will have family stay here when visiting us at the Marina.
