Baymont by Wyndham New Buffalo

Bed is comfortable, but there was hair in the bathroom, a big “blob” of caulking in the tub. I think it repaired a hole but what a poor job!! The pool and hot tub were broken (but no mention of that when we booked the room) I guess it’s OK for an overnight stop, but not much more

Positive: It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Location was great. Negative: The floor tiles in the entry area to our room were loose and I thought a hazard for someone using a walker. There was unfortunately no hand soap at the sink. There was only one chair and we could have used a second. Extraordinarily expensive.

Pool and hottub definitely not avaliable. It is literally drained and under construction. Which is why I booked here. Finding this out while checking in and not having another place to stay was a bait and switch by all means. I was granted 10$ off but since this was my choice for my birthday holiday I would have liked to get accurate details about my stay from the start. Definitely would have appreciated a 100 percent refund. On top of the pool being clearly out of order every amenity I would need for my stay was broke. No vending, no elevator, no laundry, no ice, everything i looked at was broken.. the rooms were hideous and nasty. Heaters thermostat was broke causing unregulated heat (it got hot unless completely off) Carpet was sticky had to where shoes 100 percent of the time. Shower

I paid $98 for a room at Baymont by Wyndham New Buffalo and felt completely ripped off. Let’s start with the “amenities” that don’t exist. The elevator was out of service. The pool was under construction. The hot tub was under construction. None of this was disclosed before booking. Advertising amenities that are unusable is misleading, period. The room itself was a mess. The bathroom sink leaked horribly, flooding the counter and floor. So I paid full price for a room with basic maintenance issues that clearly haven’t been addressed. The hallway smelled strongly like marijuana, which made the whole place feel sketchy and poorly managed. Add in the general run-down condition of the property and it’s clear this hotel is not being maintained or supervised properly. For $98 a night, this was

Overall experience was horrible! For the amount of money we paid to stay the weekend, very disappointing. The outside door doesn't lock ( very unsafe), no pool or hit tub which is fine but at least let people know before they check in, when entering the room we found the bathroom door and toilet seat are broken, the tub is dirty, there's no smoke detector anywhere in the room ( huge safety risk) no screen on the window, stains all over the white blanket, and a broken dresser. I do have pictures of everything upon arrival so we do not get charged. When we presented this to the desk clerk he was very unhelpful. -1000000/10
