The Gilmore, an AvantStay Hotel

I wasn't sure what to expect of a hotel in a residential area, but The Gilmore is a lovely place to stay. We had a ground floor room off The Poet's Courtyard and it was quiet and peaceful. The room was perfect for our one-night stay, though with a kitchenette it would have been great for a longer stay, too. The room had a large dressing area/closet, and the large bathroom had a walk-in shower with a seat, which is always nice. Check in and check out was completely no contact and without any issues. The location was great for us - not too far from our planned event, and not too far from major highways. We would definitely stay again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Gilmore, and visiting the 12 South neighborhood. Eilyn was a great resource for things to do, places to eat, and just general fun conversation. I also enjoyed the room and amenities, and the proximity to work commitments that brought me to Nashville. I felt safe and enjoyed all of the employees that I came across during my stay.

This place always feels like home. I've stayed several times, and now I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Nashville. Obviously being in the 12 South area is part of the reason I love The Gilmore. But the hotel itself is just lovely. The front desk staffers are so friendly, and the common areas are out of an Instagram page. But the rooms are the best part. Comfy beds, roomy bathrooms, and a full kitchen. No more trying to fit a bottle of wine on its side in a mini fridge. It's also great to have a microwave in case your Nespresso gets cold or you want to have your leftovers for breakfast.

My mom and I stayed at The Gilmore for a concert. It is a great location in the middle of 12 South. A great location for shopping and good restaurants. We had a wonderful experience immediately upon arrival. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in and it had a quiet atmosphere. The hotel is beautifully decorated. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. If someone is going for an extended stay the kitchen area is very nice addition to have. The ONLY complaint which is not at all a deal breaker was the mattress was too hard. I would recommend a quilted mattress topper for those needing a softer mattress. We definitely plan on staying at The Gilmore again!

We booked a stay for a one night getaway in Nashville! The Gilmore is a really cute place to stay! We booked on Airbnb. The room was extremely clean and very tidy and had everything we needed! (Including Michelle wipes and a vanity kit in the bathroom and plush robes!) We could easily find it with our GPS. Parking is a little costly but the discount helps. Front desk helped with applying discount but lacked friendly customer service. The only downfall was the amount of noise we experienced throughout the entire night! They have a 10pm-7am “quiet time” and are very specific on the booking with this. Yet all night people were stomping around the room above, taking loud phone calls in the hallway at 2:30am, going out on their balconies after midnight and just overall very disturbing! If not f
