We stayed one night, room was small, but very nice. Place is quiet, but when we went to the bar/restaurant we were greeted with “do you have a reservation (we were only there for drinks). They did let us in (they weren’t busy at all). One downfall is, they ask you to pay for the complimentary breakfast $7 per person and you had to reserve it the night before, which I thought was bizarre, so we went out and grabbed Dunkin, but would have been nicer if complimentary breakfast was included In The very expensive room price of $268 per night. Overall, it’s a nice place but not worth the full $268 per night price.
We stayed one night during a house hunting trip. Enjoyed a late dinner at their restaurant 555 North. Everything about this hotel exudes luxury, class, and good taste. We splurged by booking the Captain Stone Suite and worth the extra with a separate living room and extra space. The town of New Brunswick is lovely with many shops and Bowdoin College.
Lovely hotel, superb service! Mackenzie and Dave were awesome!! It was my friend’s bday, and they were creative and helpful w the requests I made. They are a lot of fun too! The attention to detail went above & beyond. From leaving us welcome snacks, turning down the couch into a bed (we had the Captain’s suite) to leaving coffee and tea in the AM, it was very much noticed appreciated!!! Sabrina our server and Heather the bartender are beyond professional, so fun and down to earth, as are the other restaurant staff!!! Good food, great service in the restaurant. Very modern, classy yet comfortable appeal.
This hotel is very clean and has a charming feel. The bed was quite comfortable and the front desk clerk was extremely cheery and helpful. Two things that kept me from giving a 5-star review: first, the traffic noise kept us from a good night’s sleep. Secondly, if you travel with electronics, like most people do these days, bring something to plug them into; they have very few outlets and NO usb ports anywhere.
Wonderful hotel! It is beautiful, perfectly clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I got the last room last night and I am so happy I did. I walked to downtown this morning. There is an incredible local donut shop named Frosty's that was perfect. Wow, the apple fritters! It was a short walk and downtown. Downtown is so nice! I wish we were here longer to experience the restaurant. It's a 10/10 for The Federal and Brunswick, ME.!
