The Engleside Inn and Restaurant

I stayed overnight 12/20 to see a show at the theater. I originally booked for 12/13 but due to the weather, I changed my reservation to 12/20. The motel was very accommodating. The room was the same price at $208. I was in room 205. I was very disappointed with the room as the heat was not on when I got there. It was 55 degrees and I had to turn it up to 75, but it took hours to warm up. The hot water also takes awhile to warm up. ||I said something about the heat to the girl when I checked out and she made a comment about letting them know and they could have done something. However, if you know a guest is checking in to that room, why wouldn’t you turn up the thermostat ahead of time?! That’s absurd. I was part of a conference this past weekend and we stayed and ate there. I can't say enough about how great the staff was, the rooms were fantastic and clean (super soft pillows and blankets) and the food! Amazingly delicious. If you are looking for a winter getaway or conference place, totally worth contacting Engleside, you will not be disappointed.

Very high quality food and drinks. Martinis were good and sushi was amazing. Hamachi jalapeno is a must order, and you can’t go wrong with anything else. Our waitress was SO friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

Best dinner ever! Filet mignon with peppercorn sauce and crunchy onions. They need this special on the regular menu..😋

The place is conveniently located on the beach and has a pool. There's also a beach bar adjacent to the pool which features eats, drinks and live music. It's a chill vibe. And beach is lovely. The hotel is close to a lot of things to do such as the Surflight Theatre and Fantasy Island amusement park. ||The rooms however were very basic. They were clean but offered nothing special. They also had a musty/mildew smell probably from the humidity. I had to wash all my clothes (including the clean ones) because they absorbed the smell from the room.||The maid service was bare minimum. They made beds and that's it. We ran out of tissues and they did not replace the box. ||I think the place is pricey for the value but that's the Jersey Shore.
