The Crockett Hotel

I would stay here again! Amazing location, right near the Alamo and short walk to the riverwalk. Such a cool building. The coffee shop on-site was good and the tavern was enjoyable, the food was only okay but the drinks and service were fantastic. We sat outside on the patio every night when we needed to rest from all our walking. Small fridges in the room, no microwaves but they have a few on the floors to use. The pool area was small but adorable (not heated). Carpet needed replacing but the room was overall clean. Great stay!

Loved that it was right in the middle of the Riverwalk and the Alamo was across the street. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was coffee, a microwave and a refrigerator in the room. We had a street view. There are rooms with a courtyard view. Our beds were great, the room was clean and quiet. The restaurant offered breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was a coffee counter. There is a parking valet charge of $48 per day. I believe there is a parking area close by for $40 per day, but the valet was worth it. The room was clean and quiet. A little spendy, but worth the experience.

The location of the hotel was great and the cafe was very convenient with reasonable prices. However we were quite disappointed with the check-in process and our room. We reserved the room over a month in advance, booking a room with a queen bed. Upon check in they told us they didn’t have any queens available and instead gave us a room with two full beds instead. Fine, but what happened with our reservation? The check in process was also very slow, taking each person almost 10 minutes each to check in, fortunately we only had one person in front of us, but there was a line behind and only one person working the front desk. The rooms were ok, it’s iconically and older hotel and amenities reflected that. What disturbed us was the pile of toe nail clippings left between one of the beds and

After multiple stays at Crockett and never seems to amaze me the quality and friendliness of the staff. From Leilan in valet waiting patiently for me to get off a conference call with a customer before she asked me the questions she needed to valet my vehicle. Jesse at the counter with all the great recommendations and events happening around the hotel during this stay. Rooms are clean and ready to go! Even the construction across the road was not load or an eye sore. Definitely my go to in SA; for business or personal travel.
