We read the reviews after we booked the room for a night and were a little weary going in. But the room exceeded our expectations. The triple bunk bed was the coolest thing. Staff was friendly, helpful, and able to get us an early check-in. Very close walk to restaurants and shops. Convenient on-site parking. The hotel key app was easy to use. There was an extra charge we were unaware of at the end, but it wasn’t a huge deal

I booked the Chicago Collection Hotel – River North based on the photos, amenities, and descriptions online, and what I arrived to was nothing close to what was advertised.||First, the false advertising is blatant. The rooms and common areas look polished and modern online, but in reality it’s college dorm . Several promised amenities were either unavailable, or not offered at all, with no advance notice. If you’re choosing this hotel based on what you see online, be prepared for disappointment.||The inconvenience factor was constant. From check-in issues to unhelpful communication, everything felt disorganized and dismissive. Positive: "" Negative: No front desk staff except for evening check in. Staff was rude. Called to inform would not be there by the 9:00 check in time. Staff hung up on me. Had to call back. Hair dryer did not work. No one at desk to get another one. Had to ask for clean towels.

Very surprised by the reviews after staying here the last three days! When I pulled up to the hotel I was greeted warmly and my dog got so many pets and praises! There was a group of women staying at the hotel laughing with the front desk while asking for directions on how to use the public transportation. It genuinely seemed like everyone I met/saw was having a great time! Tons of young couples hanging out in the lobby chatting or in the basement playing a competitive game :) The hotel has a little fenced in green patch across the street for my dog, or there is a large off leash park a block away.

Hands down the worst check in experience. We booked a room the day before we needed it, because we would be arriving in the early morning and check in was later in the day. We received an email there was a problem with the payment method used - we used a credit card- and that we would need to click a link to remedy the situation. When we clicked the link, it asked for some information and after entering that information it did not work. We tried to call the hotel to fix the issue. However, no one was available to take our call. When we arrived, the person checking us in used the same credit card we used for the payment method and it went through just fine. However, the person charged us a no-show fee since we didn’t arrive the day before. We would’ve been fine with the no-show fee, but w
