The Charmant Hotel

This place is really nice. The only problem I had was there was no coffee in the room and the coffee lounge does not open until 6am. The other problem is the restaurant does not open until 7am which meant most days, I did not get breakfast. The coffee lounge has muffins and pastries, but nothing hot. For this reason, they get 4 stars. If the cafe and restaurant were both open an hour earlier, life would be so much better when you stay there. The rooms and hotel are super clean, beautifully decorated. The chocolates - OMG so dang good! Like so good! Worth every penny! The food at the restaurant was also really good! Staff is fantastic! Eager to please and super friendly and engaging.

This is a fantastic hotel. Great location, great rooms, super friendly staff. I grew up in La Crosse, it used to be the only choices downtown were the Radisson or the Residence Inn (both before the Charmant opened). There are other, and more, choices now but none of them can match the ambience of the Charmant. Book early, because it fills up!

Positive: Decor. Absolutely lovely! Negative: Common areas were a little dark.

Recently went to The Charmant with my wife for lunch. The atmosphere and ambiance are very relaxed, and the view inside the restaurant is beautiful. I enjoyed watching the staff cook and run around the open kitchen. Our food arrived quickly, and our waitress checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was okay or if anything was missing. We enjoyed sitting in the restaurant, watching people, and the view of Riverside Park. This was my first time here, and I would recommend trying The Charmant for great food and a wonderful atmosphere.

Beautiful hotel with well appointed rooms. Decor is beautiful and the wind is very comfortable. At present they are remodeling the bar, but had lunch in a light dinner at the restaurant. Abbey, our server was outstanding, even though she was extremely busy. Very personable and did a fantastic job. Later, when we came down for a light bite, she took care of us again along with super bartender Kyana. Everyone we met from the front desk in valet to the manager who made a delicious hot chocolate for us, was very friendly and helpful and of course we will stay again.
