Welch Motel

First off it isn't $57. It is $86.90! Was tired due to a long drive and this was the closest lodging. The only good thing about this place was the lady that checked us in. Door to room barely latched! Screen door didn't latch at all. So locking it was pointless. Door looked like it had been forced open dozens of time. Tile in shower, near the drain, would have cut my foot if I didn't notice it when getting into shower. Outlets are so old and worn out that anything you plug in falls out. Had to tape the plugs to the outlets to get them to stay in. Cobwebs along the ceilings and wall. An exposed breaker (buildinv code violation) Owner parks his vehicles under the office awning. Very terrible. very poor service. I was there for a month they cleaned my room once, supposed to clean it weekly. Four bath towels for the whole month. They kept most of my deposit and I have not receive the portion owed me. Will never stay there again. This place needs new ownership or management. Some one who knows hospitality and how to treat people well.

Shower only that has luke warm water flowing from the shower head. No ice dispenser that we could find. There were only two outlets that were taken up by appliances (TV, fridge, microwave, AC, lights) in the room. One free outlet in the bathroom that we used for our fan. Pulled out ac plug to use that outlet to charge our phones. Realized that there are two additional (one each) outlets in the bedside lamps. The bathroom and overhead light in the room were BRIGHT. (One bedside light was enough for us) Heater worked great albeit quit old. It was a place to sleep. 🤪

Couldn’t complain even if I wanted to. The service was great, my privacy was respected, the staff was friendly and helpful, my room was clean and orderly and restocked as needed; towels, soap, etc. the location is perfect with most everything you need within a 5-20 minute walk, and aside from the traffic of Mormon-Coulee, it was very quiet. My only concern was the wifi was god awful. If you stay here and spend much time on the internet, be sure to have a good data plan. But otherwise my stay here was quite pleasant

I rented a room tonight at the Welch and was there for two hours when they told me I had to leave because dogs were not allowed we did not hide the dog or act deceitful in anyway it was not listed in their rules online that you couldn't have pets nor did they have anything posted in their office and did not tell me this when checking in however they kept 20 dollars of my deposit and half of my 102 dollar rental fee after telling me I had to leave. Unprofessional at the most and improperly handled.
