The Castle Inn of the Lost Coast

We recently stayed at this Inn for a long weekend and it was an unforgettable experience! The Knight Suite felt like a studio apartment and even had a number keypad lock, so no misplacing your room key card. The view from the balcony is amazing and we even had deer walk right past ours in the early morning. The location is within walking distance from several local establishments, an RV park, and beaches/trails. Our 4 year old son even loved playing out on the private balcony and the little picnic table they have outside. Definitely would recommend for at least a 2 day trip to unplug and relax.

Fabulous location! Diane was very helpful, fixed antique toilet when it broke. Left lovely flowers and champagne for our anniversary. Just a few concerns about property: Thought with such a pricy accommodation it would come with WiFi, a working ice maker, deck umbrellas for the unrelenting sun on all decks. Also, plastic sheets on king bed was a real turn off( COVID). Had many large TVs that due to poor WiFi signal wouldn’t work. Was able to get a few channels on downstairs tv. Shared with Diane that a guest list of the workings of the house would have been very helpful.

We were looking for place to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I found this place by accident and I was very happy we made the reservation to stay there. It was a long trip from Arizona, but the trip was well worth it. When we arrived we alimony thought we had the wrong place. We spoke to Tanya, manager onsite and she assured us we were at the right place and our rooms were ready. Wow!!! The rooms and the layouts. First a huge kitchen, with a view of the ocean. The chef’s kitchen, granite countertops, hardwood floors and cabinets. Stainless Steele appliances complete the layout. A huge countertop (Granite) is located in the center of the kitchen. This countertop is large enough to gather a large family when you are preparing meals. I am talking about at least8 people. The living room is spacio

Breathtaking views from our private balcony...but I would not categorize this property as luxury. We stayed this week in the Queen Suite. The oversized wardrobe is completely locked so there is no place to store any of your belongings (I tried to awkwardly pile all my belongings on one of the small chairs), also there is no place in the bathroom to put toiletries either (so I added to my small chair pile), the utensils are mismatched (reminded me of my college days), and there was an odd odor permeating from the main cupboard where plates are stored as if something had expired in the wall behind (in all fairness, I am especially sensitive to smells). This place is absolutely breathtaking!! my husband and I just recently stayed the weekend, and I'm so looking forward to coming back .They literally have everything you need and more, and they allow pets, which was amazing because we have an old dog who is diabetic and I can't leave because he takes insulin and we have a new puppy so it was really nice to be able to take them with us the people were so friendly and nice it was just a great experience it was my first time going to shelter cove I can't believe how pretty it was I know I already said it but I can't wait to go back!!
