Surf Point Coffee House

What a gem! We stopped in three times in our two day visit to the area. Coffee, chai, breakfast, lunch and pastries were all amazing. You can’t go wrong here. Loved everything about the space. Great vibe with even better views and fabulous music. All the right things going. The owner kicks ass and we were happy to get to chat with her. Everything is created with love. Stop in and stay a while. You’ll be so glad you came.

This review is about sustainability only! I so appreciate that you offered real, for your mugs, glassware, and silverware to those who were eating on your stunning porch. But I was a bit bummed to see the use of plastic straws, and the sale of plastic bottled water. By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean and fish. And over 95% of the plastic we produce and consume does not actually get recycled. Rather, it ends up in landfills, incinerators, and in our waterways. For an Oceanside business, I think it would be really cool for you to forgo any single used plastics on site. In honor of this gorgeous landscape that draws in customers. Perhaps you could sell aluminum, canned water, as aluminum is infinitely recyclable. And perhaps you could ditch the straws entirely. Just some th

This is my new favorite place to have breakfast and a key lime pie bow. Sad that it is 4.5 hours away from my home in the Bay area. Over the July 4th weekend we drove up to this town near the coast, stayed at an amazing place and visited this coffee shop. We placed an order for cold mocha, 1 avocado egg toast, 1 avocado bagel, 1 key lime pie. I was surprised to have the iced mocha. It was very well made and was rich in flavor. The highlight of the breakfast was our toast and bagel and the keylime pie. The breads came in a beautiful tropical island look with the sprouts standing vertically 😍 The presentation was awesome. A must stop when in Shelter Cove. The location can't be beaten - I particularly enjoy sitting outside to watch and hear the ocean while feeling the see breeze as I enjoy a coffee and a pastry. The employees are very friendly, attentive and pay a great deal of attention to detail and appearance. The resulting aesthetics further enhance the experience. Others may find things to knit-pick about, but to me this is an amazing place that is good for the soul.

Two of us had breakfast here on a weekend. We were seated immediately at an ocean view window. The staff brought coffee right away. The coffee was strong with a hint of Carmel or strong roast, which I enjoyed as a latte but it needed sugar to counter the dark roast. They make bagels and muffins in house. Our food came out of the kitchen in a timely manner given how busy they were. The decor is modern and fresh. My breakfast sandwich was very good and would be classified as a small or modest sized portion. The bagel and lox was wonderfully presented with sprouts but too heavy with honey mustard for my taste.
