Cliff House

Great place right on the ocean with amazing sunsets from the hot tub! Very responsive management/host that got us everything we needed. There is a bird colony right below the house which was fun to watch but smelled like bird poop a bit. It can get warm in the afternoon sun even in October- there is no air conditioning and no screens on the windows so there were a lot of flies. The bathroom is only accessible via the bedroom which is fine for just a couple. The bed is a comfy memory foam but it doesn’t breathe well so it could get a bit too warm. Great walks to Black Sand Beach & restaurants. The road in to Shelter Cove can be a bit dicey so the whole town feels very secluded. Very quiet in October but still with some fun community activities like a farm to table dinner event & Hallowe

We stayed here for a few days in November. It was very clean but the sliding door was almost impossible to open and the screen door was bent and badly rusted. The overhead shower was in need of having the shower head cleaned as the spray went sideways. The closet did not have any Hangers. The king-size bed was very comfortable. The hottub was supposed to be 100 deg, but instead it was 111! We had to wait over an hour for it to cool down. There was a hidden fee for our dog...$100 cash.

We were lucky enough to stay for several weeks as I am software developer and can work remotely. Our unit had everything we needed for a long stay. It had spectacular views from the inside and from the deck and hot tub. The owner/manger, Simy, was very friendly, helpful and responsive. Shelter Cove is a very special location. It is remote (in a good way) and small - but big enough to have good restaurants, a general store, and a brew pub!. The residents are friendly and welcoming. The natural setting is unparalleled - both within Shelter Cove and in the wider area. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay! The unit we stayed in was perfectly perched on the cliff looking out at the ocean/black sands beach, the town is quiet and peaceful, all you can hear are the waves. The hot tub was a huge bonus, and the property managers could not have been more helpful. Check-in and check-out were super easy. What a perfect weekend away, we cannot wait to go back and have agreed we will only stay at Cliff House. Driving around, we were in full agreement that no house had a better view than us!

We recently held our wedding in Shelter Cove. It's a beautiful area with VERY nice poepl! I had a pleasure of dealing with Simy who made my family's stay at the Hot Tubs Inn, amazing! He went above and beyond to help and make sure they were happy. I recommend this host and this hotel. Views are gorgeous from any corner of this property. Thank you Simy!
