The Belamar Hotel Manhattan Beach, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

I recently stayed at the Hilton and had a mixed experience. The guest room itself was clean, cute, and comfortable — The dining room and bar area, however, could use an update. The lighting is extremely bright and harsh, awful, which takes away from the ambiance and makes it feel less inviting than it could be. A softer, warmer lighting design would make a big difference. It could use a update. Overall the tables are not very comfortable and they look very dated compared to the updated rooms. I also didn’t feel especially welcomed upon arrival. A warmer greeting at check-in would have set a better tone for the stay. Overall, the rooms were lovely and comfortable, but the common areas and overall atmosphere could benefit from a refresh and a more welcoming touch.

Great stay overall. The hotel has a very convenient location in Manhattan Beach, right next to shops and restaurants, which made it easy to walk everywhere. A special shout-out to the valet, Jonathan. He complimented my (older model) car and genuinely took great care of it, which I really appreciated. Service like that makes a difference. Would definitely stay here again.

Spacious, clean rooms. Staff were delightful. Morning coffee was excellent. Glad we didn’t bring a vehicle because of the $40/night valet. Location is close to a trail the takes you right to Manhattan beach. Excellent restaurant’s close by and the bus to the airport was convenient and fast. We rented bikes for the day and biked to Santa Monica pier. The valet, front desk and cleaning staff were all fantastic.

Really liked this hotel. The front desk and valet staff were professional and friendly. The whole process was really smooth and quick. I really liked that we could text the valet to request our car to be ready for when we got downstairs. Valet is $45 and there is no LAX shuttle, so keep that in mind!
