The Beach Rose Inn

We had room 101. Quaint place lobby is lovely. (but of course I didn't take pics of that) Don't sit on the blue chair you will fall to the floor. The carpet was dirty and the drapes would be an easy fix. For the price we paid on a summer Saturday night I wouldn't complain too much. Location is great right on Rt 1 with Hannaford right out back. Mile road to Wells beach 1 motel over. Mike's Clam shack very close as well. Easy fixes fix the way the drapes are hanging, shampoo the carpet and put a cover on exposed alarm. Toilet is low. Coffee pot and microwave in lobby only. They do have ice, tissues and cool soap.

Positive: The location in Wells. Negative: There was no staff onsite to assist with check in, daily room cleanings, emergency situations, etc. This was very unnerving as I arrived late in the evening to check in and there was no one to assist or answer the first time I called. I felt very unsafe.

The room was clean, comfortable, and safe. Location is convenient. Not sure what others were expecting, but if you're looking for a simple place to spend the night, this is it.

Well… the front door to get in was locked with a dead bolt and we knocked for 20 minutes. Someone came and let us in and checked Us in after that. We get the key go to the room… open the door the entire room is so slanted I put my Stanley on the table and it fell to the floor sliding on the heavily uneven floor we had to ask for books to place under the feet to make the table level due to how bad the floor was. The shower is a hazard I almost fell because the shower/tub is higher than the floor in the bathroom by a few Inches without any grab bars and stepping down when it looks like a normal height from the floor but it’s not. The room is atrocious the carpet is like a crime scene the beds feel like they are from the 70’s and the place hasn’t been upkept or even dusted since then… my aunt

Our room here was a very small unit, basically large enough for a bed and dresser; don't expect to do any partying here. The unit was clean when we got there and the bathroom a good size, but the entrance door was locked when we arrived around 4 PM and no one was in attendance; we had to call the posted emergency number to be let in. On a three day stay, the room was only cleaned and provided with fresh towels once. The internet was miserable; the air conditioning unit in the room was so loud that we needed to turn it off at night to be able to sleep. For the price of this unit, you would expect more.
