Customer Reviews
Loved the room—clean, fresh, modern finishes, excellent bed and linens, plus thoughtful touches like good lighting and a decent workspace. Definitely 5 stars there. Service was average: polite enough at the desk, but not super proactive or warm. Handled basics fine, but don't expect concierge-level help. Location works well—convenient to subways (about 10-12 min walk to good lines), walkable to cool spots in Boerum Hill/Gowanus, and not too noisy at night. It's not right in the heart of downtown Brooklyn, but that's part of the charm for a more local feel. Overall, great pick for the price if you prioritize a nice room over fancy service.
Positive: The front desk and staff are great people. Negative: Room design is user unfriendly. Shelf on the wall is against safety code, projecting out at eye or head level. This can injure customers. The small sink in the bedroom can splash water everywhere in the room. Internet didn't work in most of time.
I am extremely pleased with my overall stay in this hotel. Honestly, I was worried after reading so many bad comment hence I set my expectation really low but upon arrival, the receptionist staff is very kind and helpful. I was given a corner room at the upper floor, the bathroom is spacious and definitely suitable for people who is travelling with wheelchair bound, overall the room is clean and spacious. Trust me, with the price paid vs the quality, you should not expect anything more. There will be no hotel around safe area like this. The hotel is close to 2 different subway station Bergen st (F line) and Hoyt–Schermerhorn station (A&C line) all within 15min walk. It is also close to Atlantic Av LIRR station 15min walk as well.
I’m writing this review as a serious warning to anyone considering staying here. I stayed at this hotel during 27° weather in NYC and the heat in my room did not work at all. I reported it at check-in and continued reporting it multiple times because the room was freezing. Instead of helping, staff dismissed me and I was spoken to rudely, as if expecting basic heat in the middle of winter was unreasonable. I was forced to sleep in a freezing room. The condition I had to sleep in was terrible — uncomfortable, cold, and completely unacceptable for a paying guest. No one should have to spend the night like that after clearly asking for help more than once. When a staff member finally came to inspect the room at 10:30 AM on my checkout day, she confirmed the heat wasn’t working. On top of t
I really loved that it is in the center of Brooklyn and Manhattan which is super convenient for traveling around. I had a function at Barclays center and it was like 15 minutes walking distance. Staff were very helpful and prompt to help me whenever I needed anything. Rooms were given service everyday and they were neat and tidy. And prices were very affordable compared to the hotels around!
