The Avenue Hotel Coral Gables

Beautiful place! I wanted to treat my partner to something special for her birthday and our weekend at The Avenue was perfect. She loves to shop so being nestled into Merrick Park, directly across from Neiman Markus was terrific. There are numerous great restaurants and lots of shopping "opportunities" within a few minutes walk. The place is brand new, in fact we were the first to stay in this room which was elegantly appointed with beautiful furniture and Miele appliances. All the staff from the valet to the front desk were friendly and helpful and being a bit chilly the heated rooftop pool was great. We'll definitely be coming back.

Prime location, new construction, rooftop pool is amazing, pedestrian area nearby, very safe at any time. You can find three street parking in single family residential blocks nearby but read the signs carefully for resident only restrictions.

Sunday, March 1, 2026 at approx. 10pm - First Impressions Are Lasting Impressions We'd highly anticipated the grand opening of this allegedly posh, unique hotel experience - the first of its kind in all of Coral Gables, unfortunately, what we experienced within minutes of arriving is such an unbelievably far departure from posh, luxury or any other close adjective. Instead what we encountered was the epitome of uncouth, trashy, beyond disrespectful, and what some might consider salacious. While literally in the midst of checking into the hotel with government identification and credit card, we began to hear loud screaming and yelling - what would eventually prove to be partying coming from the street just outside of the hotel. We stayed at this hotel while in town for a tour at the University of Miami. We chose the location because it was close to Merrick Park where we could shop and walk to dinner. The location was perfect. For our needs. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to spend a few nights. We used valet parking all very easy. They have one small coffee maker in the room. We ended up walking to Perry’s steakhouse for dinner dinners. And walking to a bagel shop for coffee and breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again. We had a two bedroom unit. Plenty of space for us all, and it was nice having the kitchen area to bring breakfast back in the morning. If I was in town for an extended stay, this would be a great spot.
