Four Points by Sheraton Coral Gables

I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton Coral Gables for 2 nights before our cruise and then 1 night after our cruise. Our flight landed at 11pm so we didn't get to the hotel until about 12am. I had alerted them in the Marriott app prior and they were very accommodating about it. Night staff that checked us in were very nice and friendly. The room was clean, if a bit small. I did not think it was odd that they only had double beds if you wanted two beds. We made due. The bathroom is very big and I appreciated the walk in shower. I despise tubs. Beds were comfortable, if again, a little small. When we checked back in for our last night, it was about 11am and our room was not ready yet. We checked on Tuesday and got a bad corner room on the 6th floor. There were curtains on 2 sides and a defective motorized system with a confusing code system to work the sheer and blackout blinds. The heat was felt near the windows. The AC failed the next day, when we were getting ready to shower and dress for Christmas Eve dinner with my family. Maintenance came to the room and verified that the unit was broken. They found us another room, which was great but caused us much inconvenience, having to throw everything onto a luggage cart in a hurry. They told me they were waiving the daily $20 parking fee, for our three nights, and the manager would be asked about my request to waive 1 night's stay. The manager never appeared and I saw a parking fee on the bill they emailed me. |The listing

Positive: Hotel was close to where we needed to be for our event. Negative: The pillows were very flat, the water pressure could be better. The most important thing is the AC need to have an option for heating. Having to have a portable heater to heat our room is not safe .

**Disappointing experience – not what I expected from a Marriott property** I stayed at Four Points by Sheraton Coral Gables recently and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. On the first night after checking in, I took a shower and immediately noticed that there was very little water coming out of the shower head. When I finished, I discovered that the entire bathroom had flooded and water had even spread into the bedroom area. After a long 12-hour flight from London to Coral Gables, this was the last thing I wanted to deal with. I had to go down to the reception myself to report the issue. A maintenance staff member was sent to inspect the problem, and I was eventually moved to a different room. However, the new room was smaller, and I was told the hotel was fully booked

Our stay at the Four Points by Sheraton in Coral Gables was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out. Amir at the front desk was incredibly personable, welcoming, and attentive. He made check-in smooth and took the time to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
