The Ambassador Hotel of Waikiki, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Room was very cozy and clean. AC is very quiet and works well. Bathroom is equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and hand soap, which was greatly appreciated. There is also sunscreen located at the pool. The free hotel bikes were amazing to cruise around Waikiki, they ride smooth although note they have backward-pedal breaks. As a diamond member, I was not offered any room upgrade, and I believe my room was one of the smaller configurations, however the view of the canal and mountains were cute. Also the room door is not very soundproof. You can clearly hear neighbors if they’re talking in the hallway. My biggest issue was with the hotel restaurant downstairs. I stayed at the Ambassador Hotel by Hilton during my PCS move, and overall the experience was great. It did start with a bit of a hiccup, corporate upgraded my room without my permission, which bumped the rate from the military rate (around $225/night) to about $550/night, way beyond my per diem. Thankfully, the hotel manager, Heeh, stepped in and worked his magic to fix the mess that corporate created. Huge appreciation for that. Once that was sorted, everything else was awesome. The hotel itself is amazing, the food was great, and the live music on Friday and Saturday nights made the stay even better. Stayed here for New Years Eve after a long, excruciating flight from the East Coast. Valet, check-in, and bar staff were all excellent! Given a very nice upgrade on Lifetime Diamond Status for Hilton into a suite that had more square footage than most 1 bedroom apartments. There were great city views and partial ocean views. Pool are was small, but nice. Rooms were very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Water pressure was a little lackluster, but is the only fault I could find. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and very casual. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel room is spacious and very clean! I really love the fact that they provide free water bottle for ppl to take and refills. Also the service of complimentary drinks and bike rental is great. Just there is a resort fees that might not be of likings to everyone.

My husband, golden retriever and I stayed at the Ambassador Hotel for 60 days and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Every single staff member was lovely. I’m taking valet, front desk, cleaning, security and everyone in between was so kind and truly embodied the aloha spirit. Everyone was so willing to make our extended stay at pleasant and comfortable as possible. The location can’t be beat. You can walk all of Waikīkī and to Ala Moana easily and there’s a park across the street that was perfect for our dogs potty breaks. The attached restaurant offers a 15% discount if you are staying at the hotel and it’s perfect for morning coffee or a night cap. I HIGHLY recommend this for your next stay. They truly go above and beyond for their guest! The staff absolutely set this place apart
