The rooms are spacious, beautiful and well kept, but the hotel location is in the middle of nowhere separated from Fishtown by a massive 8 lane highway. The area feels very isolated with nothing nearby. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant either so you have to uber for anything. While the room was great, little things felt off that are standard at hotels. For one my air conditioner made a squeaking noise all night. I had to turn it off to sleep. Unfortunately if i opened the window for air, the sound from the highway was equally loud. Other smaller things were also off including no hangers on the coat rack to hang suits (very odd considering this is a wedding hotel) and no spare plastic bags to put used clothes in. I also would’ve appreciated full size water bottles in the fridge. Lastly

Just finished an amazing wedding weekend at the Switch House Hotel! It is a hidden gem in Philly with a venue space and rooms for all of your family and friends to stay the night! The hotel is beautiful from top to bottom and super comfortable! The staff was amazing and attentive and helped us whenever we asked! I wish I could give everyone a shout out but I don’t remember their names! The front desk staff, especially Rachel, made us feel like we were home! And Steve at the cool and cozy lobby bar made us feel like we were hanging with friends in our own living room! Highly highly recommend this beautiful place to stay and celebrate!

We attended a wedding here and stayed the night. The rooms were very well appointed, if a little on the noisy side. The venue is located inside a repurposed industrial building, and while the conversion was very well done and the design is dramatic and warm in the right proportions, there is a lot of exposed concrete to ricochet sound around. Still, we had a very comfortable stay. The event itself was done amazingly well. The food was absolutely top notch, presented with flair and expertise and the staff were friendly and helpful. The following morning we had a nice continental breakfast in the bar. Would not hesitate to recommend this venue for an event, or a weekend getaway. If you're keen to explore the city on foot the location, on the river by Penn Treaty Park, is not ideal, but if yo

This was an unusual hotel. It is part of an old electric power station that has been rehabbed to be a hotel, an apartment building, and dedicated suites for the Rivers casino, which is about a mile away. The walls are all cement, and the social areas of the hotel really incorporate the somewhat brutalist approach to the interior. It is in a redeveloping section of Philly along I-95, which cuts off the hotel and other buildings from the more active neighborhood a few blocks to the west.||Given the design and decoration of the rooms, I'm not sure who the hotel is trying to attract. My room had an almost fully functioning kitchen in it, including refrigerator/freezer, pots, pans, wooden salad utensils, a set of David Burke knives (!) and a Nespresso machine that only makes espresso drinks. Switch House doesn't seem quite ready for guests that are not part of a wedding. Our keycards deactivated every day. On the final day, there was no desk staff to check us out, and the parking garage gate would not open. There was no support number for the garage, and thankfully someone was at the front desk by the time we got back. Additionally, our card was charged $100 more than we were quoted, with no bill. Overall nice location and nice rooms.
