Sweet Dream Inn - University Park

If I could rate this place 0/5 I would. I do not write reviews for things. I am so angry about my experience that I am writing this. Paid $112 for two nights stay. Awoken at 1:47am the first night to yelling about drugs and “crackheads” and banging around. Blacked out cars parked outside with headlights blaring into our room, guys posted up by the stairs. Called the front desk 5 times to no avail before calling police to feel safe leaving our room. Had to find alternative accommodation at 2am and were scared. Came back to the hotel TWICE to speak to manager about a refund, she’s not there. Also, apparently no one noticed the cops were there at 2am. Showed front desk attendant call log and texts. 0 stars if I could All front office staff is rude and inattentive. Presumed to care less about their tenants needs via demeanour. I witnessed a daughter and their mom refused coffee and extra blankets because the front desk employees didn't prioritize it. What's telling Is that it was 9am, no line in the building and the employee just shrugged and said "I'm not making coffee" and continued to extra charge me for my room, which is a separate matter as a whole. The room service/maids are immaculate, however I believe room service is third party. Currently staying and have been for 5 months and I will post/update more cause it's clear The Sweet Dream Inn is a shady neglected inn. This place has potential but only if the employees cared. I'm only giving three stars for rooms, because the first room we were put in had a lot of small bugs in it. They were quick to get us another room, and it was really nice. I'm not sure what's up with the bugs in that first room, 204. I hope they get that fixed. It's a really nice room otherwise.

We rented a handicap room because I'm disabled and use a scooter and walker. There was plenty of room in our room. The bed was OK. The room wasn't to clean. No lamps on the side tables. On the floor above us there was loud music outside and a few loud people but you couldn't hear it in the room. We didn't use the pool. We only stayed 1 night n it was OK for just one night when you just need to sleep while traveling. I wish the room was more clean. The front desk people were very nice. When my husband checked in they had him sign a very long form and told him if the police were called for any reason we would lose our $100 deposit. Sketchy.
