SureStay Studio by Best Western Virginia Beach Oceanfront

DO NOT STAY HERE! When checking in the lobby and front desk employees reeked of marijuana. Once we got to the room it also reeked of marijuana. When the main door on the hotel room was closed there was still a big gap so you could see in or out. After returning from dinner are room key would not work the key reader was stuck red after notifying the front desk employee who reeked of marijuana came up and was unable to unlock the room with there master key after almost an hour he was able to unlock it with a hard key but the door knob and lock were still not functioning correctly so we had to leave the door open they didn't have any other rooms and were not willing to give us fair compensation they was no eta or clear communication on how or when the door was going to get fixed so we could s

This was my first time coming here, it was a drive but worth it. Once arriving, the parking lot/garage is a bit tight getting in and out of. The hotel does not offer breakfast, the property also only charged HALF of the total cost in case you dont show up or change your mind. The hotel was very nice, in a great location there's a walgreens on the corner, beach behind the hotel, and several other activities to do and eat at. My room was very clean, I had a balcony which faced the ocean beautifully. I could hear the waves from my bedroom. For the price and the location of it I would take another trip here, staff was extremely pleasant, transparent, and nice.

Easy registration. The staff are courteous and helpful. Room was just what we needed. Spacious area. We like the kitchenette with 2 stove burners. Nice apartment size fridge. 2 large screen tvs with cable. Located close to stores and restaurants. The view of the ocean makes it great to wake up to. We have stayed in the past. Recommend SureStay beachfront when in the Va Beach area.

Positive: Location, room layout and size of the room were great. The staff was very friendly. Having a refrigerator in the room was great. They supplied extra blankets and plenty towels which was nice. Negative: Gnats in the room. The beds are very firm. If you like soft mattress, you will not be satisfied.

It's a budget motel directly on the beach. The front desk was competent and friendly making out check-in and out seemless. Our room was clean. We got the kitchen suite to be able to cook. The kitchen was adequately furnished, but was missing paper towels. My major complaint is the elevator. There is one elevator for the entire 8 floor building and it is very slow. The upper level parking lot is treacherous, but tends to be the case at all beach hotels. Overall, it served it's purpose and saved us a few dollars over other oceanfront hotels.
