SureStay Plus by Best Western Montrose

If you are depending on any amenities you see listed online, call them first to see if they are available. This is my main advice. We booked through the centralized Best Western booking system... they said that an adjoining rooms were available, and we saw that there was an indoor pool. I called them locally before we arrived and learned that the door to the only adjoining rooms was broken (seems like there was no ETA to fix this) and the indoor pool was out of service. Be aware that this hotel is inexpensive for a reason. Other than that, everything was smooth for us. Everything was good with breakfast. We left our kid's favorite stuffed animal in our room at check out and housekeeping had kindly saved it for us.

The good:|Young man at front desk check in was extremely hard working, efficient, and definitely deserves a raise!|(I hope he gets it!) I wish I knew his name to say thank you. He made a great first impression. |Room was clean. Clean sheets, towels. Everything worked well: heater, tv, mini frig, coffee maker. Hot shower!|Beds comfy, room quiet. Area felt safe, secure, |Hot breakfast was great! |Also hotel is across street from Mexican restaurant. |The bad:|The hotel is 2-story, but only has stairs in the lobby (NO ELEVATOR)|The bathroom sink area has no counter, shelf or anything for cosmetics, etc. |All in all it was a good stay.

Positive: Hotel was clean, staff was professional and kind. My children loved the pool, and their continental breakfast provided variety of warmed options on the 2 morning we ate there. Negative: Juice machine wasn?t working.

Never going back. Stayed for 5 nights. Night 1 bedsheets and pillow cases had stains on them. Requested to change the room the guy at the front desk was just not helpful. "We are fully booked, I can give you new sheets, sorry" and closes the office door. I had to replace the sheets and covers myself. While doing that found a big SPIDER on the existing bed cover. Asked front desk to have someone do a detail housekeeping the next day and mention about the spider and I was told it will be on the schedule. 5 days and there was no housekeeping provided. Breakfast 1st day was good but juice machine was out of order. Next day still out of order plus no fruits. 3rd day same plus no yogurt and COFFEE machine out of order. I would rather pay a little more and find a decent place.

DO NOT STAY HERE !! We booked three rooms. We got in late and went to our rooms. Only one of the two were clean. The other two were not. When we called down the lady at the front desk told us they were booked and no other rooms were available. One of the rooms still had the pile of dirty laundry on the floor and the beds were not made. The other room has dirty towels laying over the beds and beer in the fridge which is fine if it wasn’t a room for high school wrestlers. We did not stay in the room with the un made beds but since the toddler used the bathroom they refused to refund us. The other room that only had dirty towels we had to go to Walmart to buy an air mattress for the kids to sleep on. We would have went and to another hotel in the area however with the huge tournament going o
