Super 8 by Wyndham Waco University Area

Positive: Pet friendly. Easily accommodates service dog. The rooms were clean and looked to have been recently remodeled. Negative: There are less menu items available at the breakfast. I guess just like everywhere else budgets are tightening up. The rates here have gone up, while the amenities have gone down. I used to pay half as much a night to stay here. Rates have almost doubled.

I’ll just start by saying, that you absolutely get what you pay for, and for less than $100 a night, this wasn’t the worst place you could stay. The front desk clerk/receptionist was very friendly, and seemed to genuinely take her job seriously. She was welcoming, and efficient in getting us to our room without any issues. Our room was clean, but very dated. Some of the trim around the floor was peeling off, and the flooring was bubbling as though there had been water damage and the glue wasn’t holding down the linoleum anymore. The beds were adequate, but a far cry from comfortable, our toilet barely flushed, and the shower pressure was pretty bad (at least for our room). Rooms were clean.. bathroom needs a bit of maintenence. Continental breakfast consisted of your choice of white toast with butter and jelly or a chocolate chip granola bar or peanut butter chocolate chip granola bar. The juice despenser was empty, but there was coffee in the lobby.. you could also purchase a 12 oz can of soda from the receptionist for $2.00

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Building falling apart, lobby reeks of marijuana, room has a strong chemical smell that I can only assume is masking something else. Night clerk can't help you with anything. 30 minutes after checking in, a huge roach crawled across our bed. I would highly recommend you DO NOT STAY HERE!

Terrible experience. Called and ordered down stairs, king bed and accessible room with walk in shower. When we got to motel no such room existed. We were told could get the room with queen bed. We agreed, got to room, unpacked our things went into bathroom and found a bathtub. We booked a two night stay so when we went out the second day, we asked at 9:30 to get our room cleaned and to get the towels replaced. Nothing was done and we were told the reason was cleaning lady left before 9:30. Frustrated we asked for fresh towels. The clerk said “You must say please.” No breakfast, no phone, hot hot water only in shower, baby pillows on bed( we only got three and was told we couldn’t get another one. This is how our stay went.
