Super 8 by Wyndham Sturgeon Bay

This is by far worst motel I have been in a while. I check in no issues. I get settled and want to go for a swim, I open pool door and tools and a huge water heater everywhere, so I ask if it was closed well yes it was. Ok next then nice hot shower. Nope!! No hot water apparently whole building is being worked on and water is luke warm. She opens up another room and water eas warmer ok shower time! In less the. 2 minutes water was cold. I paid decent money to stay here and I expect things to work. If your not functioning at a level a motel should be at why would you be open? Or at least offer a refund so a customer can be happy. Im so dissapointed. The bathroom is falling apart held together by deck board. I cant believe I got scammed.

We stay here every year when we do back-to-back golfing at Maxwelton Braes. We always liked this hotel due to reasonable price and location. This year, we were happy to see the remodeled rooms. Clean, comfortable beds and convenient location. Looking forward to next year!

The hotel had a heavy smell of curry. It looked old, run down, and dirty from the lobby to the room. The whirl pool was closed. The room reeked of bleach, and the beds looked to be around 30 years old. I took one look, and left. I would sooner sleep in my car. It’s cleaner, and less likely to give me a rash. Better then nothing.

Only gave it a one because you have to pick a star. Their front desk person is absolutely rude and belligerent. If it wasnt none refundable I would have just left and stayed somewhere else instead. Absolute worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. And to top it off she put in notes of the check in that I was rude to her. I never once raised my voice the way she did. She asked to see my credit card I said I didnt have it on me as it is a Capital One Virtual card. And she began to argue that is was not as room hadn't been paid for. Even showed her on my capital one account the virtual card number and asked why since she had number in computer that she needed actual card.

I stayed at the Super 8 recently. On the positive side, it was quiet and the staff were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the downsides outweighed that. The hotel is very outdated, and the view out my window was of an old, dirty mattress, which was not pleasant. There’s also no elevator, which made carrying luggage up and down a hassle. Honestly, this place would be fine at around $50 a night, but for almost $200 it was a bad experience and not worth the price.
