Super 8 by Wyndham St. Charles

I do not recomend this locaton. It does not adhear to the Wyndham rewards rules and visiting it was a mistake. The bathroom fan did not work , the room was tiny (and rated for a disabled), the microwave turn table was broken, the drapes were partially torn off, the smoke detector was hanging off the wall disfunctional. We were paying using our rewards due to frequent visits with Wyndham and treated poorly due to that fact. The hotel is run down and the breakfast was not restocked, we are highly disappointed with the room, the managment and the quality. You all deserve better; skip this location.

Walked into the first room and saw roaches immediately! On the walls, floor, bed and even in the bathroom! Front desk claimed a couple was there for a month and staff must have missed them...... how!?!?!? Everywhere i looked i found some...... Switch rooms and was lucky enough to find a clean one without bugs but did not feel comfortable all night. Will never return.....

I went in knowing this wasn't supposed to be a luxury hotel and didn't expect much. The staff is really great. The elevator was out and they helped carry by dog's crate up the stairs. The hotel needs MAJOR updates. The paint is peeling and the room smelled like stale cigarettes. I didn't know they still allowed smoking in hotels and I should've asked for a non-smoking room. There were homeless people living behind the hotel in vans and every time I went to take the dog out there were at least 2 people sitting in cars smoking joints and blasting music. I wasn't scared but it was a little uncomfortable. There wasn't really a breakfast-just cereal and toast. If you need a place to stay overnight for cheap it's fine. Just don't plan on hanging out here.

I had to ask four days in a row for housekeeping before finally getting it. The rooms were clean, however there was mold on the shower ceiling. The lobby smelled horrible. Washer was broken. My room window didn’t lock. They checked me out a day early (hassle). The two days I was around for breakfast, all it was were fruit cups and milk 🤷🏼‍♀️. There is a seating area outside the front door and you had to walk thru all the smokers. If I could give negative stars, I would.

This place is nasty and overpriced; they have REALLY bad roaches. They come out during the day and they are PLUMP, indicating a well-fed infestation in the 10000s. I was shocked at the state of a Wyndham company, as it’s supposed to be somewhat nice for the area. Also the “free breakfast” is severely watered down coffee, stale (probably roachy) cereal, oatmeal packets and a broken juice machine. Pancake machine working is a hit or miss. They barge in your room without waiting for you to open it. They tried charging me an extra $15 twice unauthorized. Staff was overall nice except the female. In conclusion, it was a bad time. 0/5 stars would not recommend
