Super 8 by Wyndham Raton

The check-in process was smooth and easy. The guy was helpful and answered our questions. The room on the other hand is not what i expected but i guess you get what you paid for. The bathroom was okay, your usual towels, soap and shampoo, very small bottles. The door for the bathroom makes a loud screeching nicer every time you close it as there a metal strip on the floor entering the bathroom. And the room has a very strong smell of bug spray, we had to open the windows to air out out. This Super 8 is not by Wyndham, they should remove this as it is misleading. This place is good for a night but not more than that.

If I could give a zero I would have. Starting from arrival cigarette butts all around entrance door and trash can had tons of butts like hadn’t been cleaned in forever. Check in was fast and easy. Walking to room rug/carpet looked like hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. I took a photo to show you. It does have an access ramp for wheel chairs. Stop at vending machine and ice same dirty carpets. Get to room and had a dusty moldy almost smell we hoped by turning on ac (it was currently 89 outside) that maybe it would clear the air. We waited and waited and even left for dinner and still room was hot. It didn’t cool off until about 5:30 am. Tv box for tv didn’t work. Bathroom had a huge water bubble and black stuff in ceiling so maybe that’s the moldy smell. See photos. Bed was uncomfortable and w

Don’t waste your money. Room stinks of I don’t know what. Hair in the sheets. Floors dirty and linoleum isn’t adhered to the floor. Only room available while my father was in the hospital. Disgusting. Check in gentleman was very nice. Keep driving to Trinidad or to Springer. Or Vegas.

After a long downhill haul southbound, this Super 8 tucked off the exit did the job. Rooms were clean and practical, though the cigarette-burned bedspreads have seen better days. Out the window it’s all Mickey D’s and Arby’s, while inside a Back to the Future marathon kept me entertained. Breakfast was mostly abandoned, but the bearded front desk staff were professional even warned me not to leave doors open because of bears! Not fancy, but I’d stay again passing through Raton.
