Best Western Plus Raton Hotel

As a healthcare traveler in an unfamiliar city, I came to this hotel because it was recommended by a nearby police officer. I desperately needed a safe and warm place for myself and my two small dogs after I had to unexpectedly vacate an unsafe place. I showed up at the front desk with tears in my eyes and these two angels at the front desk, Bernadine and Tiffani, immediately ensured that I safe and they were there to help. Their customer service was simply amazing!! They went above and beyond!! As a former Director of Operations in Texas, customer service is near and dear to my heart. The empathy and compassion shown to me by these two women will never be forgotten. Positive: Staff were welcoming and friendly. The lobby was nice with a tall Christmas tree and gift shop. Across the street is a Dennys, other restaurants. and gas stations. Negative: Rooms seem like they can use some updating. The walls were a bit worn.

This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The staff was very good, the room and facilities were as clean as we have ever had in a hotel (and we are fussy), the inside saltwater pool was a lot of fun and warmer than most. The area around the pool in front of all the rooms is carpeted and it's just shy of a quarter mile so if you walked around it five times you would get in about a mile. Every room opens onto the pool area on one side and the parking area on the other. We got a handicap room with a walk-in shower which was very nice. There is a separate restaurant with excellent and reasonably priced food, italian, steaks, fish, mexican, pizza, and Irish. The fish and chips were outstanding as was the spinach salad. **Review for Best Western Plus, Rotan, NM** I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western Plus in Rotan, NM, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly attentive and eager to ensure all our needs were met. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean, and well-appointed, providing a cozy retreat after our busy days. I also want to give a special shoutout to the cleaning staff—they were wonderful and always ready to help with anything we needed. One of the highlights of our stay was the large indoor pool area! I was surprised how great this hotel was. All staff were 110% professional and service was great, from check in thru dinner and breakfast the next morning. It would be an especially great place to stay during harsh weather (hot or cold), with the full service restaurant on site. Our room was more roomy than expected, and while an older style decor was in great shape. Comfy bed, and really good selection for breakfast. Will definitely stay here again whenever needed in the future.
