Raton Pass Motor Inn

Extremely clean rooms! Comfortable beds! (and I am picky about both!) It had a “homey” feeling. This place is a rare find. It is run by a husband and wife that are very kind and very accommodating. This is my second time staying here. On this trip our group of 6 rented 2 rooms and everyone in our group enjoyed their stay. I will stay here EVERY TIME I travel through Raton, NM.

The Raton Pass Inn is a wonderful glimpse into how travel was in the 40's and 50's. If you are looking for the luxury hotel experience, this might not be your cup of tea, but if you are looking for a fun, clean and inexpensive motel this is the place to stay in Raton. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Each room has a theme and mine was World War II, decorated with authentic artifacts and framed posters of the era. The owners are the nicest couple you'll ever meet in the hospitality industry. They are helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the region and everything they suggested was spot on. Do yourself a favor and give this motel a try. I'll stay there the next time I'm in northern New Mexico.

This is now our go-to stay on it trips to northern Colorado! Nicely remodeled boutique motor inn with themed rooms. Clean rooms with comfortable beds and basic amenities. The owners are super friendly, helpful and which to address any concerns. Neat little mini museum in the office area with a lot of mid-century items.

My daughter loved the toys. The bed was large (which was great for a toddler who moves in her sleep). The pillows and mattresses were comfortable, especially by hotel standards. My toddler also really enjoyed the art. I wouldn't describe it as kid friendly just because there are a lot of breakables, but entertainment for a toddler was great with supervision.

Positive: Everything was great. Hotel employee are very friendly and the rooms are all themed. We had two rooms - Big Texas and the Pin Up Room. Very clean, spacious and wonderfully decorated. They even offer breakfast items in the morning. Great stay! Negative: Nothing
