Super 8 by Wyndham Raleigh Downtown

Rough area. |Receptionist is behind bulletproof glass. That should say enough. |But. There's more. |Loud. We can see daylight around the edges of the door, also allowing noise, and smoke through into my NON Smoking room! Homeless beggars loitering and drug users on the property ( inside the chain link fence with barbed wire intended to keep them out.) We cannot believe that Wyndam hotels allows their name on this property. No. Nope. I fear retaliation from this bad review, but, I feel obligated to warn others. Breakfast is coffee, tea and toast in a locked room. I asked the receptionist at check in, "are we safe here?" ... She replied that she is safe, she is behind bullet proof glass. We had already paid. This hotel is absolutely strict in a disrespectful way ! I am a young woman with kids married to a man that is older then me by a few years which isn't anyone business but also i look like I am very young for my actual age . While visiting super 8 on South sanders I went out to grab a few things from the gas station I came back and was told "there are no guest or visitors here " meanwhile the room that we rented was 1 bed for 2 adults... So I was followed to my room by I'm guessing the manager so I can show a id when he seen my age he proceeded to tell me that "he wasn't my husband" without even seeing my husbands id which has the exact same last name. I am absolutely disappointed and disgusted by the way I was treated tonight. Especially when they have way more to worry about at this hote

Positive: Nothing best at all Negative: It’s mentioned that they have breakfast and showed me coffee machine and juice dispenser. Is that what mentioned as breakfast provided? Next door qualityinn is same price where my friend stayed has good hospitality and breakfast. No water for guests! Wow!

Only giving a 1 a not a 0 because while it could have been worse, it's cooks t have been much worse. Remote was broken, bed kept moving everything I got in or out, tv had a scratch in the middle and in the corner, for some reason we were in a huge room with a king bed and a single cuck chair, no conditioner in the toiletries, parking was weird, and the location was not ideal. Every moment of every day there were loud road sounds which I understand the site can't control but in terms of overall comfort, the sirens, motorcycles noises, people screaming and blasting music (both outside and inside the motel) were uncomfortable

well it’s certainly a bed to sleep on but not much more. staff was friendly & check in was smooth but the room was not clean & looked very thrown together with whatever furniture they could find off facebook market place. walked in the room, saw the state & the roaches and left to a different hotel. lesson learned, you get what you pay for.
