Super 8 by Wyndham Phoenix/Mesa/Gilbert Road

Rooms are comfy and clean. You cant hear any traffic at night. The gm, "Kush", was awesome, and hands on, working side by side with his team. He was great with extending our work trip and even discounted an extra night. This was a surprisingly pleasant stay. Thanks to the whole staff.

Our stay at the Mesa/Gilbert Super 8 by Wyndham was nothing short of shocking. After a long drive, we expected a comfortable suite. Especially since we paid extra for one. Instead, we walked into a room that was completely unacceptable by any standard. The bathroom sink appeared as though someone had gotten sick in it and it had never been cleaned. The I noticed what looked disturbingly like blood smeared on the door. This wasn't just poor housekeeping, this was a serious sanitation issue. I went straight to the front desk to report what we found and request cleaning. Their response was unbelievable: they told me there were no cleaning staff available and actually OFFERED ME A RAG SO I COULD CLEAN THE MESS MYSELF! When I requested a different room, they refused to accommodate us in any

A better description of this place would be the “super 8 ball”. I was in the Marine Corps for 5 years and slept outside with snakes and centipedes. That was more enjoyable than this place, got a non smoking room that smelled worse than a dive bar, fingernails in the bedside table, hair on bedsheets, blood on the light switches. They did have family guy on the TV though.

The room was fine and the front desk employee was polite, but management showed a serious lack of compassion. When I was an hour late picking up my elderly, disabled mother, she was told she had to leave immediately and that the police could be called. She was calm, respectful, and caused no issues. Watching someone vulnerable be treated this way was upsetting and unnecessary. Based on this and past experiences with Super 8, I won’t be staying with this brand again or recommending it to others.

Positive: The hot water. Negative: It was a filthy disgusting place. The floor was covered in pet hair. The bathroom was so bad it smelled like urine. The toilet disgusting. No soap or shampoo.
