Super 8 by Wyndham Kutztown/Allentown Area

I recently stayed at the Super 8 in Kutztown and had a very positive experience. The hotel was easy to locate, conveniently situated just off the highway, which made travelling around the area simple. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and the staff at the front desk were friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer any questions I had. The room itself was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The bed was cosy with fresh linens, and I appreciated that everything in the room—from the television to the air conditioning—was in proper working order. The bathroom was spotless and stocked with clean towels and basic toiletries, which made the stay even more convenient. What stood out most was the quiet environment. Had to get our keys reprogrammed EVERY time we left and returned! No coffee available twice in morning during breakfast hours (stale snacks) offered as “free breakfast” no elevators! Lugging baggage upstairs VERY rough! Loud noise and music from “tenants” late at night .. just over all disappointed

My stay at this Super 8 was definitely a unique experience — in a good way! When I pulled up, I was caught off guard by the check-in kiosk in the lobby. No traditional front desk, just a big screen and a camera. Turns out there’s a real live agent helping you remotely (think Zoom-style check-in). It was my first time ever seeing this setup, so I’ll admit I stood there for a second trying to figure out what was going on! The speaker volume was turned up pretty high, which made me jump a little, but the agent was friendly, patient, and got me checked in quickly once I got my bearings. Honestly, after the initial surprise, it was smooth and kind of cool — very 2025 vibes. Positive: Staff was pleasant and friendly. Room was clean and everything worked (microwave, fridge, hair drier, A/C, TV). Free breakfast is simple packaged items and was well stocked. No frills nice basic hotel. Negative: Online check in didn't speed things up same information was required again at the desk.

I stayed at the hotel on Saturday night 10/18 overnight til Sunday, 10/19. I arrived at approximately 9:20pm. I asked for and received a room on the 1st floor. When I asked to front desk if they have decaf coffee she stated to me no because no one drinks it. Don't know how she can assume that information. I then askd for a wakeup call at 6:15 am from the front desk which they said fine. I usually set an alarm for the clock in the room but there was none in the room. I get up the next morning on Sunday and there is no wakeup call in which they tell me they tried and their system works. Next, I wanted to get a shower and when I proceeded to get one the tub was full of dirt and their were paint chips around the tub.
